Denim is a huge staple in my wardrobe and I’m always looking to try different styles and washes. Recently, I bought these vintage hi-rise jeans from American Eagle and they have become my go-to pair. Fall is the time when I like to add a few new pairs of denim to my wardrobe and I love how different these look compared to what I usually wear. Occasionally, I’ll break away from my skinny jeans and put together a look featuring a looser style of denim, but I have a hard time finding the perfect pair. Being only 5’2, I feel like the classic boyfriend fit can sometimes look a little too big for my figure. Sometimes they are just too baggy and I feel like I’m drowning in them. The vintage hi-rise is the perfect style for me because they are still tight in the hips and waist, but only slightly loose in the leg. They are also very flattering and I feel like they hug my curves well. I bought them in my usual size and they weren’t too loose by the end of the day.
For today’s look, I tucked in this striped sweater from H&M and added a pair of black booties from Forever 21. A black leather jacket would go great with this look, so I added one from Zara. My favorite thing about these jeans is that you can create a variety of different looks with them. One day I tucked in a baggy t-shirt and added a western style belt with some Adidas. I’m always looking for versatile pieces to add to my wardrobe and you can easily dress these jeans up or down.
