Knitwear & Two-Toned Denim

November 11, 2016

As the weather starts to get cooler, I am starting to turn to my typical uniform of a cozy sweater, jeans and booties. I am always looking for new ways to revamp my sweater and jeans combo, and this outfit is completely different to what I would normally wear.  I am a big neutrals girl, but I’m starting to add more color into my wardrobe. This sweater from the Loft immediately caught my eye. The orangey red color is beautiful and I think it’s a flattering color for any skin tone. It is more of a lightweight knit, so it is perfect to wear on its own when the weather is a little warmer, or you can layer it when it gets colder. The cut of it is a little wider than normal knits, so I tucked it into a pair of jeans to give myself some shape.

Now the main star of this look is this pair of two-toned jeans from American Eagle. Yes, I know I’m posting about another item from this brand, but they are seriously stepping up their game. I wanted this look to be simple so the jeans could stand out, but the pop of color in the sweater makes this look more fun and refreshing.  I really love the denim trends this fall, whether it’s patchwork, embellishment, two-toned or frayed hems, there are a lot of new styles to have fun with! These trends are a great way to get out of your comfort zone and try some new looks and let your personality shine through.
